A magnet

I have come to realize in my 30's that I am a magnet for weird stuff. My friend Shannon always says...the weirdest stuff happens to you. It does. I get that. I don't create it. I know I'm dramatic. I get that too. But, the weirdest thing ever happened this morning. Apparently somewhere near our town they manufacture the propellors for wind machines. They are HUGE. They look like air plane wings. So, they travel on this long flat bed thing. They have two trucks that accompany them. The two trucks block traffic for upwards to 30 minutes at major intersections at very busy times in Sherman and quite frankly are a nuciansce. This morning at the major intersection where just last week they held up traffic for an hour due to a malfunctioning back end of the truck...they exited in front of me (approximately 7:55). One truck blocks the frontage road traffic and the other travels behind the big truck. So, I try to go around them (in a perfectly clear lane) and the truck block frontage road traffic comes at my vehicle with his. He seriously LUNGED his truck towards my front panel. (didn't hit me). Everything I had that wasn't held down went in the floorboards. (My laptop). I rolled my window down and was yelling at him. He told me he had a permit to block traffic and that if I got within 300 ft of the vehicle that he had a gun and would use it. Did I mention my 2 and 4 year old were with me. I called 911 and let me tell you I have never seen those trucks move through the intersection so fast!! I couldn't get license plate numbers because they were covered by WIDE LOAD signs. So, they were illegal. The police dispatched DPS to Amarillo because their guess is that they were headed to West Texas. I had forgotten that my Mom was on my cell until I had to hang up on her to call 911. So, she heard the man yelling at me and threatening me. The guy seriously acted as if I was a terrorist there to ruin his air propeller. And just for the record...they do not have the right to hold up traffic or block traffic according to the police...just so you know. AND if anyone ever blocks your vehicle with their body you have every right to run them over. (Just repeating what the very, very nice police officer told me)!!! UGH. I had a complete full blown panic attack after the confrontation. My sweet friends (yes they are my friends) at Starbucks were trying to do anything to help me. It scared my kids, it scared me. It was AWFUL!! Okay...that's my crazy story for the day!!

Oh, and looks like no vacation for us. But, on the positive side of that...we get to spend some time working on our house. I love FALL cleaning...so I'll be doing that. I'll attempt to do before and after pictures. (If I'm brave enough to show you the back room before we move Macy into it)!! UGH.
